Dr. Holonko provides holistic and conventional veterinary care for small and large animals via phone consultations and house calls and schedules patients by appointment. She provides preventative care, treatments for acute and chronic disease using classical homeopathy, western herbs, spinal manipulation, nutritional and behavioral counseling, preventative care, and shamanic Reiki. Conventional diagnostics and medicine used as needed. Animals struggling with chronic disease and not responding to conventional medical therapy often respond to holistic care. Dr. Holonko also provides end of life care (holistic hospice) to patients and grief counseling to their people.
Dr. Holonko has over 20 years experience practicing western, holistic and energetic medicine treating a wide range of illnesses that include:
* Kidney failure
* Heart disease
* Thyroid disease
* Irritable bowel disease/Inflammatory bowel disease
* Back and spinal pain
* Paresis and paralysis
* Skin disorders
* Cushing's
* Cancer
* Liver disease and many others....
Dr. Tanya Holonko graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and began her career as a wildlife veterinarian for wild and captive species. Dr. Holonko realized that standard veterinary care in many cases was only putting a band-aid over the symptoms but wasn't healing or correcting the problem. Because conventional care was suppressing symptoms, her patients kept returning for treatment. Then in 1999 she began accredited training in veterinary homeopathy with Dr. Richard Pitcairn where she discovered an effective approach to healing animals. She was also trained in veterinary chiropractic, nutritional and glandular therapies, western herbs, and is a Shamanic Reiki Master.
Dr. Holonko's believes that her purpose is to offer each client an array of options for treatment of their animals and allow them to choose a balanced approach to healing that works best for them.
